WATER & WASTEWATER

This project is a public-private partnership between the City of Bloomingdale, The Savannah Economic Development Authority, and several large landowners/developers. The project provides water and sewer infrastructure for development of approximately 1800-acres of undeveloped property.  The project includes the installation 13,000 LF of 16” waterline, 13,500 LF of force main, 3850 LF of horizontal directional drills, a 313 GPM regional lift station, a water booster pump station, and a 400,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

Coleman Company was part of a project team that designed the Outlet Mall of Georgia that consists of approximately 500,000 square feet of outlet mall with an additional 600,000 square feet of outparcel development including anchor retail, out parcels, and hotel.   The project is located on approximately 324 acres in Pooler, Georgia on the southwest quadrant of Interstate 95 and Pooler Parkway.  CCI was responsible for boundary and topographic survey, preparing the early Clearing and Mass Grading plans for the 324 acres, the design of the sedimentation, pollution, and erosion control plans for the entire project. The offsite utilities consisted of the design of the sanitary sewer lift station, and 2,300 LF of 6” and 4,600 LF of 8” force main. CCI’s work included the design of a 246 GPM regional lift station, a 200 LF directional drill under the Pipe Makers Canal and a manifold connection into an existing lift station, including re-direction of flow to new downstream receiving manhole.

Rockingham Farms is an 1100-acre warehouse distribution development  master planned for approximately 9.7 million square feet of warehousing.  Coleman Company prepared the site master plan, master drainage and grading plan and offsite water and sewer plans for over 33,000 LF of offsite utility extensions including a 190 GPM master lift station which will be owned and operated by the City of Savannah.  The utility planning for the future needs of this massive project includes an oversize pump station site to accommodate future wet well additions and a design that will allow for the redirection of sewer flows to anther sewer sub-basin when future flow demands dictate.  CCI is also under contract to provide civil design and construction phase services for 9.5 Million SF of warehouse distribution facilities.

The Perry Street Utility Relocation Project involved relocating and upsizing existing City of Savannah water and sewer mains in a highly congested area of the city’s Historic District. Detailed Subsurface Utility Engineering allowed for the design and construction of new water and sewer lines in close coordination with numerous existing underground utilities and adjacent landowners.  The project included the design and permitting of a temporary sanitary sewer bypass system as well as stabilization of an existing 48” brick storm sewer.  The construction was accomplished while maintaining traffic on a portion of each of the existing roadways impacted by the work.

Coleman Company provided surveying, utility design, and construction phase services to Bryan County, Georgia for a new 8” well, a hydropneumatic tank, a new regional lift station, and 8” force main. The project allowed Bryan County to address the infrastructure needs of its rapidly growing population base.

Coleman Company designed water distribution and sanitary collection systems to serve the multiple communities and development parcels on the Godley Tract north of Jimmy DeLoach Parkway in Savannah, Georgia. The primary collection and distribution system utilized significant sections of 18-inch sewer and 16-inch waterline in addition to multiple regional lift stations. A major aspect of this effort involved the ability to manage the distribution of high-pressure water service provided by the City of Savannah through large diameter mains and booster pumps to various development parcels and major land development tracts.
