Forest Lakes Drainage Improvements

Coleman Company provided drainage analysis and design of improvements for a canal system to the city of Pooler, GA. The project involved improving the conveyance of the channels to allow for the reduction of flood stages in the canal to alleviate surface flooding in the recently constructed neighborhoods. A maintenance road was added adjacent to the canal to allow better access for the city’s public works personnel.

Pipe Makers Canal Improvements

Coleman Company designed the reconstruction of Pipe Makers Canal for the City of Pooler, GA. The project included the design of a 16-acre flood plain mitigation area adjacent to the canal and the reconstruction of a 14,000 LF section of the canal west of I-95. CCI evaluated the hydraulic impacts of proposed ballfields and the regrading of the mitigation shelf located on an adjacent property. Along with the preparation of a No-Rise certification, a request for a Conditional Letter of Map Revision was submitted to FEMA upon completion of construction.
