Greg Coleman has been named Managing Principal and President, ushering in the next generation of leadership alongside three newly appointed Principals: Scott Allison, PLA, Douglas Faircloth, PE, and Pete Miller, PE. Terry Coleman, PLS, has been known for land development consulting in the Savannah Region for over 40 years and has led Coleman Company as Managing Principal and President since its creation in 2013. Terry will transition into the role of Chairman of the Board. This leadership change marks a significant milestone as the company proudly transitions from father to son.
A Family Legacy of Leadership
Terry Coleman, PLS, has guided Coleman Company with a client-focused and family-driven approach, fostering a culture of success and innovation. Over the past 12 years, his leadership has propelled the company through significant growth and established its reputation for honesty, integrity, loyalty, hard work, and creativity. While stepping down from his executive role, Terry’s continued involvement as Chairman ensures his legacy and vision will remain integral to Coleman Company’s future.
The transition of leadership at Coleman Company marks a moment in its history as Greg Coleman, son of founder Terry Coleman, steps into the role of Managing Principal/President. Having worked at Coleman Company for over 11 years, he embodies the mission and values upon which it was built. With a proven record as an industrial group leader, 2023 LLS Visionary of the Year, and Abilities Unlimited Board of Directors, he is determined to continue in his father’s footsteps and lead the company and our community to continued success.
“Diane and I are very proud of what the Coleman team has accomplished over the past 12 years,” states Terry Coleman. “Due to our amazing clients, talented leadership team and employees, Coleman Company has well-exceeded my expectations. I thank God for guiding our steps and blessing our efforts. My wife Diane has supported me throughout my entire career, especially over the past 12 years. Coleman Company was not possible without Diane,” Terry continues.
“I am also thankful to have my son, Greg, take over as President and Managing Principal. He has incredible partners, including Travis Burke, Neil McKenzie, Scott Allison, Doug Faircloth, Pete Miller, and good ole Dad. I look forward to my new role as Chairman and am confident in the future success of Coleman Company. This step in my life is not the easiest thing I’ve ever done, but it is one of the proudest moments in my life. My experience at Coleman Company has truly been a blessing,” Terry states.
Echoing the sentiment, Greg adds, “I just want to say thank you. Thank you for leading Coleman Company by example through your faith, generosity, care, and compassion for people. My dad has set an unbelievable example, and I pray that we can continue leading Coleman Company the way he has– putting people and relationships first. Thank you for your confidence, and I know we will continue to make you proud for many years to come.”
